Calling All Entries: Nominate Your Historic Tax Credit Project for a Timmy Award!!

Have you developed, been involved with, or just admired an outstanding historic rehabilitation project in the past year?
If your answer is yes, now is the time to step up and nominate that development for a 2014 Timmy Award!!
Each year the National Housing & Rehabilitation Association honors the best completed real estate developments in the U.S. that have utilized federal rehabilitation tax credits by presenting the J. Timothy Anderson (“Timmy”) Awards for Excellence in Historic Preservation.
The deadline for nominating a project for the 2014 Timmy Awards competition is July 25, 2014.
This year’s award categories are:
- Best Commercial/Retail/Non-Residential Project
- Best Historic Rehab Utilizing Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (Small/Up to $10 Million Total Development Cost)
- Best Historic Rehab Utilizing LIHTCs (Large/Over $10 million Total Development Cost)
- Best Historic Rehab Utilizing New Markets Tax Credits
- Best Market-Rate/Mixed-Income Residential
In addition, four special Judges Awards, drawn from the entire pool of applications, will be awarded for:
- Most Advanced Financial Structure
- Achievement in Sustainability
- Most Innovative Adaptive Reuse
- Best Historic Mill or Factory Rehabilitation
NH&RA will present the Timmy Awards on October 7 in Boston, Mass, during its annual Fall Developers Forum conference.
