Tax Credit Advisor, October 2009: The Internal Revenue Service has announced the allocation of $4.61 million in unused low-income housing tax credits to 29 states from the 2009 “national pool.” The extra credits are provided to states that have exhausted their regular credit authority, and boost the 2009 housing credit ceilings of the recipient states.

The new allocations, outlined in IRS Revenue Procedure 2009-40, range from a low of $13,904 to Vermont to a high of $882,632 to California.
