The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) has announced the release of a new, 58-page publication designed to assist developers and others in integrating green building and energy efficiency into the rehabilitation of existing affordable rental housing properties.
The publication, Green Rehabilitation of Multifamily Rental Properties: A Resource Guide is a joint effort of Bay Area LISC and Build it Green, a California-based nonprofit.
The guide explains the technologies and opportunities for existing properties to “go green,” and provides advice on incorporating the green building principles of energy efficiency, water conservation, resource conservation, and healthy indoor environments. Download the guide.
