Michigan Approves 2008-2009 QAP

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority on 12/6/07 adopted its 2008-2009 qualified allocation plan (QAP) for its low-income housing tax credit program. Two funding rounds are scheduled in 2008, with application deadlines of 4/1/08 (75% of 2008 credit authority available) and 9/19/08 (50% of 2009 authority available). The remaining 2009 authority will be offered in a funding round with a 4/1/09 deadline. MSHDA’s board also directed agency staff to recommend by 12/19/07 how to proceed with a third round in 2008 — no date has been set — that would utilize the remaining 25% of 2008 credit authority.
