Tax Credit Advisor, December 2009: The Affordable Housing Investors Council recently elected new officers for 2010. They are: Sindy Spivak, Bank of America, President; Leila Ahmadifar, Citi Community Capital, Vice President; Don Phelan, Babson Capital, Treasurer; and Rob Golden, Capital One, Secretary.
Rodney C. Sommers, CPA, has joined Novogradac & Company LLP as a principal in its Dover, Ohio office. Prior to joining Novogradac & Company LLP, he was a director with McGladrey & Pullen LLP and RSM McGladrey Inc.
Boston-based Tax Credit Asset Management has announced the addition of new staff members. They are: Tracy McDermott, Director, Portfolio Services; Peter Haley, Director, Special Assets; Brian Gelow and Brian Urban, Senior Asset Managers; and Anne-Katharina Curry, Operations Manager.
Thomas F. Maxwell has joined syndicator WNC & Associates, Inc., Irvine, Calif, as Vice President – Originations. He is responsible for the firm’s property acquisitions in the Northeast region.
Miguel A. Garcia has joined the Local Initiative Support Corporation as Executive Director of LISC’s Los Angeles program office. He most recently was program officer and acting deputy director at the Ford Foundation.
Phil Culpepper has been appointed as Deputy Executive Director of the Illinois Housing Development Authority. He previously was former Director of Debt Management for the State of Illinois.
